When you create a CoolLearn account, we collect your name, email address, and — if you are a parent — the name(s) and age(s) of your children. This allows us to tailor the learning experience and provide age-appropriate content.
During learning sessions, our AI tutor automatically collects interaction data such as answers to questions, time spent on tasks, confidence indicators, and session duration. Audio recorded during learning sessions (via board.coollearn.ai WebView) is processed by our AI tutor in real-time and automatically deleted after 30 days. This data powers our adaptive engine and is never sold to third parties.
We also collect standard technical data including device type, browser version, IP address, and operating system. This information helps us optimize performance and troubleshoot issues across platforms.
Your data is used exclusively to deliver and improve the CoolLearn learning experience. Our AI uses session data to build a personalized learner profile — adapting difficulty, pacing, and teaching style in real time.
For parents, we generate detailed progress reports, behavior tracking insights, and feeling analysis summaries. These reports are derived from session interaction data and are accessible only to the account holder.
We may use aggregated, anonymized data to conduct internal research, improve our algorithms, and publish educational insights. No individual user can be identified from aggregated data.
All personal data is encrypted both in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Our infrastructure is hosted on enterprise-grade cloud providers with SOC 2 Type II certification.

Session recordings and learner interaction logs are retained for the duration of your active subscription plus 30 days. After account deletion, all personal data is permanently purged within 90 days.
CoolLearn takes children's privacy extremely seriously. Accounts for users under 13 must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verifiable parental consent.
Children's learning data is used solely to power their personalized learning experience and generate parent-facing reports. We never use children's data for advertising, profiling for marketing purposes, or sharing with third parties.
